Parents or authorized guardians must sign their child in and out upon arrival and departure for each student.
If someone else is picking up the child, parents must call the center in advance to confirm plans. Anyone picking up a child who is not the parent or guardian must present an acceptable form of ID.
Each child is required to have a physical examination report on file within 90 days of the first day of attendance, signed by the physician or certified health check provider.
An immunization record must be completed by the parent within 30 days of the first day of attendance. Documentation can be either DPH for or the Immunization Registry (online) or whatever documentation physician has on the child.
Preschool children need a physical every year.
To ensure the wellbeing of children and staff, we ask all sick children to stay at home. If a child is not well enough to participate in the daily activities of the center, they should be kept home.
Sick children will be isolated in the office with the Director until an authorized person comes to pick the child up. The child will be made comfortable until the arrival of parents. The child must be picked up from the center within 1 hour. If you cannot pick up your child within 1 hour, the emergency contact person listed on the enrollment form will be called. If a child is sent home, they must remain symptom free for 24 hours before returning to the center, unless a physician signs a form for earlier return.
If there is a need for emergency medical treatment, children will be taken to Lankenau Hospital. Should an ambulance be needed, parents will be responsible for any costs.
